climax, virginia! there is a climax in michigan too, as alert stalkers of my flickr will note. but did you drive through tightsqueeze? (actually i think that's between charlottesville and the nc or something.) also highly recommended is the overpass on 81 that goes over butt hollow road. (which is on the way to blacksburg, which is not so highly recommended unless one has a really good reason for it.)

there is a picture of the climax mini-mart in my flickr set! we snickered helplessly a lot. AND YES. we drove through tightsqueeze! i didn't get any photos, but we snickered there, too. we snickered a lot driving through virginia, but it's good to know that roanoke is a viable concert venue option; we took the back roads so it was only about 130 miles, 3 solid hours because of traffic lights and towns where the speed limit is 20 mph, HILLSBOROUGH I AM LOOKING AT YOU.

so, yeah, we roadtripped to virginia to see fall out boy. somehow this is my life, i don't even know anymore.

I'm so glad you had a good time!! And I'm imagining that FOB would be one of those bands that would make me swoony in person, even if not recorded. Even seeing them on the talk show circuit, I got a little more of the buzz!!
