*The copy of the delivery order crossed their table this morning: one Kshaartian mandrake, deliver to Emma Baldwin, c/o Wolfram & Hart. Due to arrive this afternoon.*

*They're officially out of time. The plans they've got now will have to do.*

Bill was by the fire in a chair with a cup of coffee on the table beside him and a half finished sandwich.

He'd come downstairs in an effort to avoid sleep but the fire was warm and the chair comfortable and the not sleeping and restless sleeping he was doing had finally caught up to him and he dozed off.

Malcolm would probably be in a better mood if the past week hadn't brought him face-to-face with the bloody aftermaths of the recent outbreak of nightmares.

But he's not in a bad mood, as such. For now, at least, the night is quiet, and Malcolm treats himself to the first scotch he's had in days.

Now he gets to see how long the quiet lasts.
