Most people, when the go home, get a reasonably warm welcome. Carlotta got home to discover that Fern was refusing to let her in the house. Which amongst anything else, was frustrating and rude.

She wraps her Ringmaster coat around her bump, makes a quick trip to the bathroom (baby's kicking her in the bladder again) and then searches for backup.

It's not Christmas for Carlotta. More like mid summer. But she comes in, and heads over to the tree.

Christmas has never been a holiday of Demeter's but it is one for many people she knows. That means that today she enters holding baskets and bags full of treats for those she cares for. All of them are dropped at the Bar and instead of a signature simply have a golden sheaf of wheat in the from section.

Atton's out back, savagely railing on a punching bag. He's bare-foot-and-chested, dressed in a pair of shorts, staring at the bag with absolute focus as he attacks it. Judging by the way he's shiny-and-hair-matted with sweat, he's been doing it for a goodly long time too.

Botherable, if clearly a bit unhappy.
