Christmas has never been a holiday of Demeter's but it is one for many people she knows. That means that today she enters holding baskets and bags full of treats for those she cares for. All of them are dropped at the Bar and instead of a signature simply have a golden sheaf of wheat in the from section.
Each of the couple gifts contains a bottle of wine, bread twisted into a heart, chocolates and jams from France, homemade baklava or honey semolina cake. The basket for Alyx and Gordon has a bottle of fresh juice instead of wine and a small notebook full of what Demeter thinks will be most helpful to a first time mother including a whole section about twins. That part was written with the assistance of Apollo and Artemis' mother.
The other gifts contain a similar assortment with a few small changes, the bread isn't in a heart, Urquhart has a bottle of whiskey, Teja-a book of music, Ben and Adrian have some fine German beers instead of wine.
Once they're dropped, she smiles and disappears out her door once more as there are parties to attend in France.
