It's a subdued, ticked off, Annabeth who comes into the bar tonight.
After being led around through a maze by her, falling into a trap, watching Luke betray them all - right in front of her eyes - and then having Percy get on her case -
Well.
She's simply not in the best of moods.
It's a relief to find a door to Milliways in the middle of a maze, of all places.
(She'd told Percy and Rachel she was going to look for scraps for firewood; honestly, she just wanted some space.)
It's a complete surprise to find gifts waiting for her. So much so, she nearly tears up.
It's just so unbelievably ordinary.
