Happy Hour!

Tavi had fully intended to spend his time in the Bar today writing letters home--it wasn't work, it was relaxing and invigorating, it made him happy to actually get in touch with his family, and it would save time, there were no downsides--but when he wandered up to the Bar to request his usual ale, meal, and bread with oil, a note popped up ( Read more... )

Tavi grins at the man he's not spoken to in some years--and then immediately a flash of concern crosses his face. Oh crows, if Seimei doesn't know about the cover he's trying really bloody hard not to break--

On the ever-changing status of Tavi's chi, incidentally, Kitai's counterweight is still there--and his own is starting to shift, start to balance out on its own.

"Well, I figured there should be ice for the days getting colder, and fire for the leaves going red. Seemed logical enough."

Tavi's expression is puzzled as he reaches for the wine. "A while? I don't believe I--"

But the look in his eyes is far different, a little urgent. I have a cover, this needs to be a hell of a lot quieter, crows let me give you my cover before it gets broken, someone from home might turn up.

It is possible that his life is overly complicated.

"If you mix the firewine with the icewine do you get tepid wine?" the Fool asks has he sits at the bar, bells ringing lightly heard in that weird space between the ears and the mind.

He regards the man behind the bar with open curiosity and quiet innocence. The sort of innocence found in those who are unworldly and sheltered.

Tavi tilts his head and smiles a little. "You know, I honestly haven't tried it. If you'd like to try and tell me, you're welcome to."

He's not much for wine at this age, frankly.

Hearing those bells, Tavi gets the feel of them even more than just the sound. It's something his instincts react strongly to, and he hides his curiosity behind his relaxed smile. "Any requests?"

"Well, the tepid wine might be interesting to try," he allows. "For how much?"

He's watching Tavi closer now, trying to gauge his reactions.

"Depends. You Bound?"

Tavi's totally at ease. For all that he can be reckless, quick on his feet, and usually impulsive, there are times he is extraordinarily patient. This time patience is called for.
