Alex - who, fortunately or unfortunately, was brought home to the reality of Milliways by the very solid, very un-dream-like slippers stashed under his bed - eyes the circle of chairs warily.

But he does feel a bit lost, to be honest, and he is new to Milliways. And, as his stomach is reminding him, he's a growing boy in need of his food.

Hmmm.

"Hey." Connor looks up from the portable karaoke machine's manual, flashing a smile. "Come on, have a seat?"

"I'm Alex," he says, awkwardness written all over his body language. "Um. What, exactly, is this?"

"I'm Connor." He gets up, offering a hand. "Life support is a little... well, a little event organized by Doc Guppy Sandhu. The idea is to help people socialize, offer them a light meal, listen if they want to talk about something bothering them. But in general, you can do pretty much anything you want, as long as you follow The Rules."

[fiery_ring]

"Hallo everyone."

Carlotta comes over, her right leg in plaster, and sits down. She looks tired and fed up.

"What's 'rhyme jam'?"

"Hey." Connor looks up from the portable karaoke machine's manual, flashing a smile. "A mixed rhyming session. People can sing, or they can read poetry."

Carlotta smirks.

"I'm not sure you want to hear me sing. I say, is it the magic karaoke machine?"

[leadinghome]

"No, I asked Bar to borrow a normal one." Really, that magical thing would not be a good idea for Life Support.

"Hey, the fun of karaoke is singing, not singing well..."

This, Rose suspects, is the event that Remy informed her of. For the moment, she will observe, and not interact.

(Feel free to disabuse her of this notion.)

"Hey." Connor looks up from the portable karaoke machine's manual, flashing a smile. "Come on, have a seat?"

"I suppose," she replies. After a moment, she grudgingly selects a seat.

[leadinghome]

"Oh, no, only if you want: this is Life Support, as long as you stay inside The Rules, you do whatever you want." He nods. "I'm Connor."

"Hello, stranger," Annabelle teases, sliding onto one of the chairs near Connor. "Seen anything interesting lately?"

He looks up from the karaoke machine's manual, flashing a smile to Annabelle. "Well, I just saw the most beautiful, fantastic woman in the whole world."

Annabelle glances at the manual, but is mostly focusing on Connor. "Did you? My, my, whatever are you doing talking to me, then?"

She's teasing, well, mostly teasing.

His reply?

To kiss his girlfriend.

Ako is looking at the karaoke selections. That should be safe right?

Connor looks up from the portable karaoke machine's manual, flashing a smile. "Hello."

"Oh, hi," says Ako with a tiny, reflexive bow that might be mostly a nod.

"There are an awful lot of songs here."

In very tiny print.

"They're sorted by decade, I think? The modern ones... well, around 2000's, Earth, are towards the end."
