This, Rose suspects, is the event that Remy informed her of. For the moment, she will observe, and not interact.

(Feel free to disabuse her of this notion.)

"Hey." Connor looks up from the portable karaoke machine's manual, flashing a smile. "Come on, have a seat?"

[seeswitheyes]

"I suppose," she replies. After a moment, she grudgingly selects a seat.

[leadinghome]

"Oh, no, only if you want: this is Life Support, as long as you stay inside The Rules, you do whatever you want." He nods. "I'm Connor."

[seeswitheyes]

"My name is Rose," she replies. "By The Rules, do you refer to the rules of this place, or are there special rules for this particular event?"

[leadinghome]

The young man shakes head. "Milliways' rules. Life Support is an open event for anyone wanting to eat, relax and socialize."

[seeswitheyes]

"Interesting. Well, as I have not yet had occasion to wish to break any of the rules, I do not see that that will be a problem."

[leadinghome]

"Nice. Are you hungry?" He indicates the snacks and drinks table. "I'll put some music on in a bit too."

"Not particularly, but I have no doubt that I will later," she replies.

[leadinghome]

Connor gives a nod, fumbling with the Karaoke machine until he manages to put it in demo mode and music starts playing. Jazz. "Oh, there."

"Are you new here?"

[seeswitheyes]

"Assuming by 'here' that you mean Milliways, then yes, I am 'new' here."

[leadinghome]

"Yes. The strange and fantastic Bar at the End of The Universe." Connor gets up to pour himself a cup of tea. "Liking it so far?"

"It is quite interesting."

[leadinghome]

"Interesting, as in amusing, or interesting, as in creepy? Some things about the place still make me scratch my head and decide I'd prefer to not know."

"But I think it's mostly a nice place to visit regularly."

It takes a little while for Remy to spot the familiar girl, but at least she's more alert than she was last time they talked. She raises a hand in greeting.

"Hey, Rose!"
