There is a cheerful white-and-brown dog following the smell and finding a goat-human-creature the like of which he's never seen or smelled before.

A very perplexed canine sniffs at Tumnus' hooves.

Tumnus works through a tangle on one of his legs and ends up about level with Franz,

"Hello."

It talks like a human, so probably is some sort of human.

Franz gives a friendly 'Woof!' and licks Tumnus' fingers.

"Can you talk?"

It looks like a rather intelligent dog and they normally are wonderful conversationalists.

There is a tiny hand--belonging to a small girl--reaching towards the fur on his leg to test if it's real, as she peeks out from behind the arm of the chair Tumnus is occupying.

Currently Tumnus is dealing with an awful knot so he's not aware of any reaching.

"Do you need help?"

Kida's eyes and the top of her head, covered in shock-white hair, are visible over the chair arm, hands resting on either side of her face.

He looks around to find her voice and laughs, she's so small,

"No, I can manage, but thank you. Are you a young naiad?"

A few seats away from Tumnus sits a small dark-skinned girl. Her nose wrinkles slightly at the damp sheep smell, but she doesn't move away.

Once he has dealt with the worst knots in his leg fur, Tumnus looks up to start on his tea and sees Rue.

He smiles before saying, "Would you care to join me for tea?"

Rue blinked in surprise, not expecting that he would have noticed her let alone invited her for tea.

"Um...sure, okay."

Tumnus has a good friend who was once a little girl so he has a special fondness for them,

"Thank you. I believer there are more than enough scones to share and cream and jam."
