What Dean really wants right now is something harder than beer.

But at the same time he really doesn't want to knock himself out again. Not until he has to, anyway.

Which means right now he's staring at the stock of booze behind the bar while simultaneously fiddling with the label on his beer bottle.

It'll take a couple more minutes for him to start feeling pathetic.

Castiel casts his eye around the bar one last time. To make sure that Security (namely X) is not present.

The less outside interference, the better.

Castiel steps out of the shadows of the back booths and walks toward the bar.

There's a lot of people passing by every minute in Milliways, which means Dean's only half paying attention to whoever's moving around behind him --

At least until whoever it is gets too close. Then his entire body tenses, and he wasn't really relaxed to begin with.

Go figure.

Castiel sees Dean's back go rigid. And decides that there is nothing to be gained by what humans call a sneak attack.

And this man is owed more than that.

Castiel stops behind him.
