Artie's got his black bag in one hand and his Tesla in the other, just in case.

"Why did you not tell me this, she could have been here for weeks for all we know--"

[claudiometer]

"Dude, I told you as soon as I realised it might've happened."
Because, really, if she'd thought of it any earlier, she would have said something! It's not like she wants Crazypants Alice on the loose any more than anyone else does.
(Alice herself doesn't count.)

"Let me rephrase. Why did you not tell me you brought someone from Milliways into the Warehouse? For that matter, why did you let someone from Milliways into the Warehouse to begin with??"

[claudiometer]

Claudia sighs. "Because it was closer than your office and I didn't want the autovac to destroy God-knows-what while I was trying to get some help and yeah, it seems like a really stupid idea now, so can you back off a little bit?"
Not that she's expecting him to, given the Epic Fail in question. But it's worth a shot, right?

Oh look, a rather somber young man is coming over.

Connor is in a very bad mood, his violet eyes still glowing a bit. "Artie Nielsen and Claudia Donovan."

"Alice switched places with my girlfriend."

"We know. We're coming to fix that," says Artie. A beat, then: "Your girlfriend is Annabelle Newfield, right?"

That would be just what they needed, Alice stealing someone else's identity once she got here.

[claudiometer]

"And... how'd you know who we are?"
It's kind of a secondary question, Claudia's the first to admit, but she's still curious.

[leadinghome]

Connor answers Claudia first. "I am psychic. The second I saw Alice, I knew she was not Annabelle. She was not going to tell me what happened, so I had to read her mind." And his tone shows how he hated doing that.

Then, to Artie. "She's upstairs in Annabelle's room: I knocked her out and tied her up. I know she has to go back into the mirror for Annabelle to be freed."
