The days in Milliways are long and dull for the new girl who hasn't made any real connections yet. She finds herself with a lot of free time to kill- something that Helena isn't used to at all. So she does what any good vigilante does when faced with endless days of captivity: she trains. A lot. Currently you can find her outside by the lake, doing ( Read more... )

Above her in the trees, an acrobat dangles upside down, watching.

Helena totally sees her.

"Good afternoon, Carlotta," she calls out, without breaking her stride.

"Hallo." Carlotta says, stretching upside down. "I was just admiring your moves, don't mind me."

Helena nods and continues her drill.

"Did you speak to your friend Knox?" she asks, a tad breathlessly. She has, after all, been training for a couple pf hours by now.

Inara, in riding pants and a jacket, is walking a horse around the lake. She loves the changing leaves of Milliways in the fall, since she never sees them anymore.

The horse whinnies softly as they approach the masked woman. Inara offers her a smile. "Wèi!"

Helena stops in the middle of a move and breaks her routine to watch the horse and rider approach.

"Hello."

"Sorry to get in your way," Inara murmurs as she dismounts, coming to stand nearer to the other woman. "This is just Tequila's usual route."

"No, that's fine," Helena says. She reaches up a hand to stroke the horse's nose. "Your horse is beautiful."

"Keeping up the secret identity even here? That's something I refuse to do. Neutral ground here, right?"

Edie trots up, looking as though she's ran a marathon.

She wipes her forehead and grins.

"Edie," shes says, holding out her hand, "or Spandexwoman, if you'd prefer."

Helena stops her routine and looks at down at the the hand.

"You're more trusting than I am then.

I'm the Huntress."

You'll forgive her for not shaking the offered hand of course. She is after all very hot and sweaty.

She shrugs, "I just don't care much. It's nice to meet you. Which side of the line then?"

As that's important when you're dealing with people with masks.

That, at least, is something Helena agrees with.

"The right side," she says bending down to pick up a sports bottle half full of water. She pops the top up and takes a sip.

"And you?"

Sports bra and sweat pants is just how those bad Gotham girls roll.

Which means - Renee is wearing the exact same thing as she does the exact same thing - trains. Starting with a jg around the lake which just happens to end up at the training ground.

Huh. Big timers even work out in their masks. That's a thing.

Helena would hardly call herself a big timer. She's not that arrogant.

She stops to stretch and have a drink from her water bottle as the woman approaches. Helena doesn't know her but she's definitely seen her somewhere before. Back in Gotham. The cop.

Helena watches Montoya closely, wondering whether she's here from the No Man's Land too.

Justice League membership makes you B-List at least, in Renee's book.

The wry smirk comes from the recognition she's being watched that closely - just like a Bat.

It fades to a more friendly expression as she nears, and slows, with a nod of greeting.

"Hey. Huntress, right?"

Helena nods in return - greeting and affirmation to Montoya's question all in one.

"Guilty as charged, Officer. Or is it Detective?"
