The back door opens and a small bundle of shawls stumbles into the Bar, accompanied by a strong gust of icy air. The bundle stomps its feet (it's wearing proper boots, at least) and hurries toward the fireplace. The shawls begin to loosen as a pair of red, chapped hands emerge and reach for the fire ( Read more... )

Yrael will not tell on her for skipping her lessons. He'll rub up against her ankles and purr, though, in case they are cold.

She starts slightly and bends down to see over her layers.

"Br...Yrael! Hello!"

Her teeth are chattering slightly, but her smile is bright on her bright red cheeks.

"Little Princess Laerke, you have let yourself get cold!" says the not'cat, purring warmly.

"I did not mean to, Prince Brisi!" she chatters. "I was exploring in woods and the night came so quickly."

And because old habits die hard, she bends to pick Brisi up, pulling him to snuggle with her at the fireplace. He's warm and soft: just what her icy hands need!

A warm mug is placed in front of her by a smiling kind bard.

She blinks in surprise at the mug, then turns a bright grin to the smiling man who brought it.

"Oh! Thank you, sir. You are very kind."

Her hands immediately wrap around the mug, soaking in the warmth for some time before she takes a sip.

"You are very welcome," said Tegid as he dropped to a sitting position on the floor, "I am Tegid Tathal."

He is wearing a blue wool cloak held at the shoulder by a gold broach, and a blue tunic cinched at the waist by a woven belt and of course blue breeches. His feet are covered in leather shoes and wrapped in some blue wool.

She would be wearing woolen stockings, a long, full skirt, and a heavy sweater with a brilliant Nordic pattern across it...if you could see it under the multicoloured layers of shawls she's wearing.

She gives a small curtsy to the man, Tegid. "I am Lærke. It is nice to meet you, sir."

She slurps noisily at her mug.

Demeter spots her and comes over offering some freshly made bread,

"Hello, little one."

The bread was noted first, much to Lærke's shame. She remembers her manners, however, and gives a small curtsy to the woman.

"Hello lady."

She's stealing glances at the bread; it's being offered, but she's still unsure whether or not she should help herself.

"I just made this fresh, would you like to help me eat it with some tea?"

The curtsy just makes Demeter beam at her.

Her small face lights up. "Oh yes, please!"

She glances at the nearest table, then peers up at the woman sheepishly. "Might we stay here by the fire? It was so very cold outside..."
