The back door opens and a small bundle of shawls stumbles into the Bar, accompanied by a strong gust of icy air. The bundle stomps its feet (it's wearing proper boots, at least) and hurries toward the fireplace. The shawls begin to loosen as a pair of red, chapped hands emerge and reach for the fire ( Read more... )

A warm mug is placed in front of her by a smiling kind bard.

She blinks in surprise at the mug, then turns a bright grin to the smiling man who brought it.

"Oh! Thank you, sir. You are very kind."

Her hands immediately wrap around the mug, soaking in the warmth for some time before she takes a sip.

"You are very welcome," said Tegid as he dropped to a sitting position on the floor, "I am Tegid Tathal."

He is wearing a blue wool cloak held at the shoulder by a gold broach, and a blue tunic cinched at the waist by a woven belt and of course blue breeches. His feet are covered in leather shoes and wrapped in some blue wool.

She would be wearing woolen stockings, a long, full skirt, and a heavy sweater with a brilliant Nordic pattern across it...if you could see it under the multicoloured layers of shawls she's wearing.

She gives a small curtsy to the man, Tegid. "I am Lærke. It is nice to meet you, sir."

She slurps noisily at her mug.

Tegid grinned.

"What brings you to Milliways?" he asked. His pants were tied with leather laces at his ankles. Well, let us put it this way he looks similar to how these guys are dressed, minus the armor, and the weapons, and he has a harp. a very nice harp.

She's not terribly put off by the clothing; she's seen people more oddly dressed on the streets of Copenhagen. The harp certainly catches her attention, though.

"Oh, I have been here a long time. My grandmother sent me here because she loves me so much. I do not come to the tavern much, though. I stay with Lady Svava and Ah-Chee, and sometimes Lady Khemrys."

"Where do you stay?" asked Tegid concerned, "It is very cold outside? I do not know of many other structures out back."

She laughs. "We stay in a room here, but I do not come into the main tavern very much. I have my chores and lessons to do. I went out exploring today, but it got dark so fast. And cold."

She shivers, wrapping her hands tighter around the mug.

"Good, you are being taken care of," he said, "What kind of lessons are you missing today?"

"Needlework." She feels guilty for running out on her lesson: most girls do not get such an opportunity, and here she was wasting hers. And Lady Khemrys being so kind as to teach her and give her such beautiful threads...

"I do not run off a lot, but today was so beautiful..."
