Demeter enters in a swirl of angry black fabric holding a newspaper in Greek and heads straight outside.

If she's inside then she will get angrier so instead she paces and worries in the back.

Teja has been in the forge; but when he sees his friend erupt in anger from the bar, he goes to speak to her, offer comfort for whatever has upset her.

"Demeter?"

She turns and hugs him very tightly as she answers first in Greek,

"They killed a boy and now Athens is full of flames."

"Who did, and who was he?" Teja asks, in Greek also, enfolding her in his arms.

"Just a boy and the police. Oh my Athena."

Its simpler to just show him the paper as she holds tight.

To be frank, Athena isn't in the best of moods, either (it is my city, they are my people).

When she appears around Demeter isn't clear, but she has a dark grey shawl around her shoulders.

Nodding at the newspaper, "You heard."

"Yes, what do you need?"

Its Demeter's land but Athena's people and her niece needs her.

She shakes her head, running her hand through her hair.

"I need nothing. They are a different question."

"All you need do is ask, niece and we can help them find a way."

Arnold has been tossing around a football in the back, enjoying the wide open space. He holds the ball still when he sees Demeter come out, though.

"What's wrong, Miss Demeter?"

She blinks at Arnold for a moment before giving him a hug,

"A boy was killed in Athens and now the city is full of violence."

He returns the hug and gives her an anxious look.

"Was it gang activity?"

"I'm not sure just a lot of hurt and angry people."

Katherine is so stunned to see the goddess this angry, she is rooted to her seat in silence. It isn't until the back door is pulled shut that she blinks, and hurries after Demeter.

"Lady Demeter?" she calls, when she steps outside, her face creased with worry.

Demeter stops and looks at Katherine,

"There's terror and violence in Athens and I don't know where to start helping."

"What happened?" she encourages, stepping closer to the goddess and placing a gentle hand at her elbow.

She hands over the paper and sags onto the ground,

"A child was shot and now there's just so much hatred."

Charlie is outside, laughing and smiling to himself as he writes. It's cool, yes, and edging towards cold, but quite strangely he doesn't feel at all uncomfortable. The pea coat he's got on is half-unbuttoned, nose and fingers already turning pink.

He waves to Demeter, pen still tucked between his fingers.

She's no more than half aware of him as she walks, so gives him a brief wave and keeps saying quietly,

"Oh Athena."

Well that's unusual. Charlie stands to catch up with her, tucking the book and pen in his pocket. "Demeter!" He catches the look on her face and blinks. "What's wrong?"

When he calls she turns and gives him a good strong hug,

"There's hurting and chaos in Athens."

She hands him the paper which is in Greek, she'll remember that in a moment.
