Demeter enters in a swirl of angry black fabric holding a newspaper in Greek and heads straight outside.

If she's inside then she will get angrier so instead she paces and worries in the back.

Charlie is outside, laughing and smiling to himself as he writes. It's cool, yes, and edging towards cold, but quite strangely he doesn't feel at all uncomfortable. The pea coat he's got on is half-unbuttoned, nose and fingers already turning pink.

He waves to Demeter, pen still tucked between his fingers.

She's no more than half aware of him as she walks, so gives him a brief wave and keeps saying quietly,

"Oh Athena."

Well that's unusual. Charlie stands to catch up with her, tucking the book and pen in his pocket. "Demeter!" He catches the look on her face and blinks. "What's wrong?"

When he calls she turns and gives him a good strong hug,

"There's hurting and chaos in Athens."

She hands him the paper which is in Greek, she'll remember that in a moment.

Charlie hugs her back, stroking over her cheek with the backs of his fingers. "I'm so sorry..." He looks at her softly, after looking over the paper. Even if he can't read it, the pictures give him an idea.

"What happened?"

"A boy was killed and now hatred and flames are filling the streets of Athens. Athena will be hurting so much."

She leans into his touch, willing herself not to cry, Greece is hurting and she doesn't know what to do.

"Oh, no. That's horrible." He folds her into a hug, laying his cheek against her hair. "I'm sorry, Demeter. That must hurt you so badly."

He kissed her forehead lightly, holding her like Teja had him.

"I don't even know where to start helping."

"...I don't either. There's nothing someone like me could do, for that." He leaned back, to look at her clearer. "Why was he killed?"

"I'm not sure, its all so mixed up and hurting."

She gives him a look,

"Someone like you, you can listen and support people, same as I've done many a time."

"But I have no way to get to Greece." He kisses her cheek a last time, pushing his hair out of his eyes, where its been blown.

"Do you want to tell me about it?" He's still lightly holding her in a loose embrace, backed just enough away to be able to look at her.

"Its all still in confusion, which makes it hard and so many are effected. I know how to help a field and a family and this is Athena's city, poor girl will be hurting so."

"She's your niece. She'll help them." He looked at her quietly, considering. She seemed so consumed in her thoughts, maybe he should leave her be...

"Do you want me to go?"

"No, I'm glad of the company. I think we're a bit alike, I never do like to be on my own too much."

Charlie smiled at her gently. "You shouldn't dwell on it too much." He let her go slowly, tucking one hand in the pocket of his coat, the other still around her shoulders. "I've been by myself most of today, actually. Since late this morning."

"Did you have a good night?"

She gives him another smile and a kiss on the cheek.
