Obi-Wan looks up. "Hello, Anakin. What was that in aid of?" He gestures toward the tree.

"A holiday called Christmas. It involves giving presents to one's friends. Quite a happy custom, as far as I can tell." He beams.

*Tom sees Anakin, with whom he's not spoken in entirely too long. He nods at the elderly gentleman beside him.*

Anakin, how are you? I've not had luck talking with you this week. Not since last week, in fact, when there seemed to be, er, some difficulties with a young woman I'd not seen before.

"Tom! It's good to see you. That was Leia; she is rather upset with me. But let's not talk of that, you should meet my teacher. Tom Riddle, meet Obi-Wan Kenobi."

Obi-Wan waves back. "Um... 'yo'? Sounds more like a noise for getting attention than an actual greeting, but I suppose it makes the point."

"Teacher, this is Tim Hunter. He's another of my fellow bouncers. Tim, this is Obi-Wan Kenobi."

*Tim cocks his head at the older man, then shrugs.*

Val comes over with hot beverages on her tray. Tea for all. "Hey, Anakin." She notices the other man and curtseys, after giving Anakin a hug. "Good evening, sir." Oh, she knows who he is, but she's not going to jump in and presume.

Obi-Wan nods to the waitress. "Good evening, miss. I gather you and Anakin know each other? To say hello to, at least?"

*The purple butterfly zooms down cheerfully and sits on Val's head.*

"Hello, Val!"

He turns to Obi-Wan, beaming. "This is Val. She's my daughter, in this place at least." He says this with only the slightest quiver in his voice.

"Val, this is my teacher, Obi-Wan Kenobi."

After a brief meeting with Anakin, Obi-Wan, Tom and Andrew, Peter leaves for the House of Arch for the night. He cannot speak to Obi-Wan with any degree of ease, and he feels like a fraud in the man's presence. A tainted fraud.

It might be cowardly, but Peter would rather retreat than deal with the shame and humiliation. He sees no point in being shamed in Kenobi's eyes.
