It's summer, or at least it ought to be. Only, you see, Coruscant doesn't really get summer. Coruscant doesn't get much of anything when it comes to weather, and sometimes that's okay (because who really wants a temperamental planet all the time?) and sometimes it's less okay ( Read more... )

Tumnus thinks he's going to have to go home soon so he's enjoying the Summer weather too and the bright colored drink makes him look over,

"What are you drinking?"

Wes eyes Tumnus for a second -- not human, but not a species from his own galaxy, either -- then grins and holds up the glass.

"Kind of a frozen daiquiri, only it's melted so I s'pose it's just a regular daiquiri. Strawberry, orange, lime..." He rubs at his hair with his free hand, then shrugs. "I got bored and no one was behind the Bar to stop me messing."

"Oh, so a daiquiri is a fruit drink?"

"Yup, with rum, usually."

He twists the straw round to face the other way and offers it.

"Wanna try?" He smiles ruefully. "There's a lot of rum in this one, plus a dash of Southern Comfort."

He is being watched back by a creature that is made of bone. She has one gold eye gleaming, the other is covered by a cloth.

Staring contest!

Wes keeps this up for a full two seconds, then sticks out his tongue and sips his drink.

Rem smiled a sharp toothed grin.

"Hello," she said in a womanly voice that did not fit the deathly visage," I win."

(ooc is he human?)

Huh. Interesting voice indeed.

"You do," Wes agrees, and sighs as if this is truly a great loss. "Five gold stars."

[ooc: yep, 100%~]

"No," Plourr is saying, "no--"

Babies are supposed to be able to get the gist of the word 'no,' at eight months old.

At eight months and two weeks, Ianna is apparently at the low end of the learning curve, because she is laughing and continuing to yank her mother's braid.

"--Ow, you little monster, are you trying to--"

The red-headed, hat-wearing princess has now stuck the end of the braid and half her chubby fist in her mouth.

"... Right. That's so much better."

Shaking her head (but only a little, because Ianna kind of has a firm grip on her hair here), Plourr continues in Wes's general direction.

Wes has approximately thirty-four years on Ianna, which must be why he's only biting his thumb instead of half his fist (and no one's hair).

This does not, however, do all that much to stifle his laughter.

"You've kinda got somethin' there," he calls, and gestures at his own head. "Stuck to your hair. Right-- yeah, right there."

"It's a parasite," she says, and Ianna beams around her hand and the soggy tail of her mother's braid. "Better watch your ass, Janson; it's always looking for a new host."

Ths sounds threatening, somehow.

The parasite squeals happily.

"I don't taste good," he deadpans. "Overcooked bantha steak. You're much more appetising."

That can't be right.

He shakes his head and offers a rueful smile. "Fast-growin' parasite, though. How long have I been out of the loop?"

Cue one very bored Sam, wandering around the lakeside with sleepy eyes and a sword strapped to his back. He'd originally come outside to practice, but realised he really couldn't be bothered.

"Hey, Wes. Long time no see."

Ah, laziness. Wes knows it well.

He salutes Sam sloppily from his position on the grass, and grins.

"I finally perfected my invisibility spell."

"Aw. But then there's fewer attractive people in the bar, and we can't have that."

Wes snorts.

"It's true -- the general prettiness level of the bar has been lower for the past few months without me, huh?" He grins a little ruefully. "But I'm sure you've cope well enough."

She figured, that when he didn't answer his comm, he was here. Only then he wasn't in the bar or upstairs...it basically took her forever to look out here.

Inyri slipped her shoe off and stuck her toe in the water after wandering up to him. "Nice umbrella."

Wes grins, very proud of said umbrella, and picks it out of the glass to twirl between his fingers.

"Pretty, isn't it? You found me," he adds, and nudges her gently.

"Yes. With my excellent sense of smell." She wrinkles her nose and nudges him back.

AKA: Wes is smelly. ♥

He snorts and pokes her more firmly.

"You're going to make me cry. Into my drink."
