"Oh, I'm sorry."

Once again, someone's decided that lunch hour ought to be in Milliways rather than at Weatherspoon's. This time, Sarah Jane only gave a small sigh as she entered the pub - any pouting was interrupted by accidentally bumping in to the teenager standing near the door.

"I didn't see you there. In fact, I didn't quite expect to come here at all. Are you all right?"

And so she has a teenage boy suddenly much more confused staring at her.

"Mum?"

Sarah blinks. The doctor said girl. And the boy in front of her certainly isn't a girl.

Nor really looks all that much like James for that matter.

"What?"

There's... a lot going through his head. Most of it confused half-sentences that end in '-' and '...' and, predominantly, '??'

What he finally says, however, is "I'm Luke Smith."

And right in front of Luke, at a nearby table, is someone he might recognize. She is currently enjoying a mug of...something warm.

"Luke!" She calls, smiling. "Figured you'd get here sooner or later."

"Where is here?" he asks, coming to a stop in front of her table.

"Milliways. A bar at the end of the universe," she replies, casually.

First things first.

"Was it in your living room?"

"Good book," the redhead sitting at the table by the door comments after the note is written.

"I haven't started it yet," he says before his brain catches up. He indicates the bar and asks with open, innocent curiousity, "What is this?"

"A bar?" she asks teasingly.

Luke is immune to teasing!

"But where is it?"

There's a four year old standing in front of him, head tilted. "You new?"

"Yes," he says, honestly. He didn't actually understand the question, but he is now. New to Milliways, new to life. "I'm Luke Smith."

[hapan_heiress]

"Allana Djo," Allana curtsies. "Welcome to Miwwiways. It's a bar."

"Should you be in a bar?"

Not that he should be in one, either, but he hadn't meant to be. Had she meant to be?
