After some time, the Rani steps out of her TARDIS.

She's thoroughly disgusted, irritated through and through with all the experiments she would have to start over, all the supplies she would have to obtain again, and all the work she would have to do on the various greenhouses and ecosystems and labs and rooms to get them back to the well-oiled 'machine' they once were before her ship was taken by

Not far off is a man in uniform, drinking a coffee. He seems a bit tired, and his left arm is moving a bit stiffly. He nods at the woman.

She takes one look at him, lifts her head to indicate some manner of examination, and promptly dismisses him with a look.

Her eyes are back on the datapad.

"Did you want something?" she asks imperiously.

"No, not really." Well, she's utterly rude. Which is rare here. "I'll let you go back to your reading."

[chemist_rani]

"Thank you."

She is in fact. Also frosty, dismissive, and 'superior'.

A few minutes pass before anything else comes out of her, and when it does, it's a growl of irritation.

Ryan arches an eyebrow at the irritated-smelling woman. Hm. Not human either, not that he'll hold that against her.

And...doesn't she look vaguely familiar?

She was in earlier...

Also, she's been going in and out of a certain tree outside for the last few days.

She feels the eyes on her and raises an eyebrow in return.

That must be it. Either that, or her scent floating around is fooling him.

He meets her eyes, and gives the woman a slight nod in greeting.

She looks him over once... and something about him has her stopping before she dismisses him. Something she could see or sense had her pausing.

She nods in reply.
