A tell-tale sign that James Bond has spent the night at Milliways would be an alarming lack of suit. A tell-tale sign that James Bond is on holiday at home would be an alarming lack of suit. Therefore: there is no way of telling whether Bond has come in from his flat upstairs or in London. The only thing that is certain is the alarming lack of suit ( Read more... )

Sarah Jane yawns as she walks down the last of the stairs with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. While the nap had been wonderful, waking up alone hadn't and after a quick shower, she had gone in search of the missing partner.

It's not a hard search to conduct, however, as there are only a number of places James would habitually occupy in Milliways. And so, quickly enough, he gets a distraction in the form of his fiancee plopping down on the couch next to him.

James glances to the side, where Sarah is, with a curious expression. He gives the expanse of couch next to him a look before returning his attentions to the book.

"I should've sat on an armchair."

"You'll still get your lap-sarah, James," she replies, scooting over closer to him. She lifts her legs on to the couch, crossing one over the other as she leans against him. "It's only a matter of waiting a little longer this time around."

He instinctively wraps his arm around her shoulders, marking his place in the book by closing it around his thumb. "And why do I have to wait?"

In some chronology other than when Mr Bond is being fluffy with is fiancee, and when Lee is not being fluffy with his lover, he's sitting on the couches nearby to where Mr Bond is, lacking a suit as well. In Lee's case however, it is slightly less alarming. He nods politely over his sandwich.

Bond, sadly, doesn't notice the nod. What does register is a slight movement that causes him to glance over the edge of his book. If Lee nods again, it might register to Bond as a greeting and not as a mere movement.

Lee can do better than that, he does nod again when Bond looks up, but this time he's swallowed what was in his mouth.

"Evening."

"Evening," he replies, leaving the book open. He'll return to it soon enough, given that this other fellow isn't so interesting a conversationalist.
