He was told to stay away from the outside at night, so he's obeying it. It's hard though. These are the sorts of nights that he and the rest of his squad would play capture the flag for ( Read more... )

The disassembled weapon gets an interested look from the uniformed man who opted to stay for dinner after all. It's certainly no Earth make he recognises.

It's his world's descendant of the 9mm.

The chief hesitates, staring at it intently before he quickly reassembles it again.

Might be fast. Might not.

He hasn't picked up on anybody watching him.

And a damned fine example it is, too.

"I'm afraid I have to ask," he says at last, "exactly who made that weapon. I don't believe I've ever seen its equal."

The chief's response is automatic, "Standard issue UNSC Naval Sidearm, sixteen rounds, but I like to keep one chambered-"

The mun knows that's called a "Combat" Round.

"When I'm in a firefight. I left my MPA5 back in my world, but here-"

He shrugs and disassembles the weapon again, taking apart the thing with a surprising delicacy considering his size. The hands of a craftsman.

The term Holy Shit comes to mind when one spots a very large, very big robot-man-thing sitting in the bar. Ichigo's been around for a while, he's seen weird people, but this is just...

...what is he is the question he wants to ask.

For now, however, he'll just stare from the bar.

The thing about the big robot-man is that he's fast. considering his size and the fact that he weighs about half a metric ton in his armor.

The parts stand assembled for a moment before-Like lightning-They come together again and the chief clicks the safety on with a click.

You can't tell, but behind that helmet? He's grinning.

No, he can't tell, but he's left even more stunned and amazed than he was a minute ago.

"Holy shit that was fast! What are you?"

Robot? He hasn't seen any robots here yet. Kinda disappointing...

Most people think the chief's a robot.

"...I'm a human."

The chief sets the weapon aside, "-Contrary to popular belief."

the guy's totally smiling. You just can't tell.

Makita sits down and sets her own pistol in front of him. "Trade you for a bit?" Cause, wow does that pistol look nice. She wouldn't mind a closer look at all.

The chief smiles again. Funny how easy that's getting here, "-Sorry. I don't like to let my weapon out of my hands."

That niggling curiousity however-

"...What are you carrying?"

She grins, she's like that a lot too, but she really wants to get her hands on his gun. "It's a Takorov 5mm auto-pistol. It's pretty small caliber, but that gives me a 35 round magazine. A lot of the folks back home prefer bigger guns, but I've always been a fan of not running out of ammo in the middle of a firefight."

35 rounds. His MPA5 holds maybe-

"...It looks light."

He's scrutinizing it intently. Or at least as intently as he can. Boy, where's Cortana when you need her to analyze something for you?
