He does, however, give him a big grin from across the room, where he's standing up against the infernal Coke machine. He's really quite obsessed.

*Maybe Todd could lend Thom a gimmick! What's a gimmick or two between friends?

Thom smiles encouragingly at Todd.

What he is encouraging remains unclear.*

The Coke machine is probably Todd's favorite gimmick. He vends a can and suddenly lobs it at Thom, grinning hungrily.

*Awww, that's so sweet.

The can stops in mid-air and drops into Thom's waiting hands. He gives it a quizzical look.*

*Anthy, in a separate continuity? stops by the Coke machine. Inexplicably, it gives her a can of rum. She opens it. She turns.*

*Thom has only Coke.

This bodes ill.

*Anthy regards the rum thoughtfully. Then she blinks at Thom.*

*Alanna approaches with a scowl. She appears to be hobbling in a very odd manner.*

*frowns, concerned* What happened to you?

*shrugs* I've been sitting in the same spot for several hours. My foot fell asleep. *shakes her foot* Goddess, why won't the feeling come back?

*Alanna is considerably less forthcoming than usual and refuses to meet his eye. It's clear that she's not feeling entirely comfortable around Thom at the moment.*

*The twinly roles would appear to have been reversed.

Thom bites his lip.* Because it's so distal to the heart. Why don't you make it?

The Rider sees Thom. Closing his book, he makes his way gracefully over to Thom.

"Good evening, Master Thom," he says with a smirk.

*unusually politely* Good evening.

The Rider raises his eyebrows slightly at his subdued mood.

"How are you this fine evening?"
