We haven't done anything for the Angels group, although I've heard from them. Your question is the same one I had...how do you get the info? From what I've heard too, it's hard to run that project because they tend not to get enough to give everyone something, so one person makes out like a bandit and it can make their comrades in arms feel bad, which is not good

It sounds good to me. Maybe I'll do a poll and see if there's a lot of interest from the gals at militarylove. We'll see what we see.
Well, I know three large-ish groups of troops that would work for your idea. I have my husband's Captain's name, he is who I would send large things for my husband's troop (lots of guys!), as well as contact info for my husband's old troop (same squad, different troop.)
My big sister also adopted a whole Troop of Marines she's supporting and I'm sure she could use the help sending them things. She is maus_driver if you want to ask her about helping with her group of men.
I also have several FRG contacts through Ft Drum, NY, and there are a lot of wives in FRG groups at my community, we could see if any of them are up to getting donations, or designating a key person to receive donations to send to Their Boys/Girls... what about that? Would that help? ;)
