My Marines!
I'm getting my marines! I'm getting my marines!
My adopted soldier through www.soldiersangels.org redeployed in time for Christmas, which is happy, but it's left me with a void in my journey to support the boys and girls overseas, haha. (Cos my hubbie plus 7 other boys is not enough people to "take care of" right?!) Well, also I can't send any packages to my husband or five of my friends for a while because they're moving to a new area (insert date)... so now I'm all jonesing and crap.
So I applied through Ryan Rust's Adopt a Marine program for a new adoptee. Figured I'd go with the Marines this time, since my big sis tells me they're just desperate for people to help... so quick! Go sign up ;)
They called me today and soon I'll get two new boys or girls to send letters and things to! Hurray!
Call me lame, but I get so excited about helping hahaha... Mostly because I feel quite helpless over here, "not doing anything", even if I *am* preparing to join the Army myself. Haha.
