When I was in the sixth grade, we had to run a mile every Tuesday and Thursday. I injured my knees back then. Assphalt + Bad shoes = Bad knees. It took months not to be at a 8-9 level of pain. I live in Oregon. Not in Portland, but so close that most of the time I just say Portland for ease. We don't get a lot of snow here in Not-Portland.
