Writing Style
The concept of the writing style is one I've pondered many times. Is it real? Is it just an excuse for bad writing? It is good? Bad?
I'm certain there are a lot of writers out there that will say I'm crazy for doubting the writing style. It's real, it's the way you write. That is a very vague description though? Is it the words that I use, the way I string together sentences, or pull together paragraphs? It is grander than that; the themes and imagery I use, my common motifs? Then you start questioning everything from there. Is there a right writing style? Etc, etc, etc.
I don't know the answers to these questions. I just know I ponder them often, and I'm pondering them again tonight as I sit down to try and catch up with NaNo and look back at what I've written and hate how unprofessional and young it sounds. Ugh.
At least tomorrow my DMC 1 Novels are coming.
