Block Party, All Day Saturday

A portion of Yellow Brick Road was closed off near the park for a town party. There was a buffet table set up with all kinds of food courtesy of the Coven. There was also a stage set up for the entertainers who'd be performing off and on, as well as a DJ station.

Everyone was invited.

Giles procured himself a drink, and walked around, waiting for Faith to arrive. She was late, as usual. She'd told him there were other Scoobies from different timelines here, and he warily kept an eye out for them, as well as any other Giles' who might show up.

Faith ran up, cigarette dangling from her lips. "Sorry, G-man, had to wait for the shower." She grinned, then hugged him. "How was your flight?"

Giles smiled, and hugged Faith back. "Uneventful, thank heavens." He looked at her. "Milieux seems to agree with you," he said, taking a sip of his drink, the corners of his eyes crinkling. "You look well, and healthy."

Faith nodded. "Yeah, I like it here, G-man. I'm definitely ready for that retirement we talked about." She steered them back in the direction of someone with drinks, and she bought herself a beer. "I don't even mind taking classes, this definitely ain't Boston public school,' she said, chuckling.

Giles nodded. "Well, I've moved you to the reserve list, which should make you happy," he said, sipping his own. "But you know I can't take you off-duty permanently, we need you sometimes." He shrugged. "That's neither here nor there. You said you wanted me to meet someone?"

Faith nodded, opening her bottle. "Yeah, I met this cool girl, Giles. Her name's Vanessa, and she's, well, she's an elf. I thought maybe you could help her out, y'know? Maybe at least help her gain some kinda understanding of her magic, 'cause she's terrified to use it."

She caught the look growing in his eyes. "She's not evil, Giles. And I don't think her magic is either, I just think she don't know how to control it."

Giles nodded. "Alright, fine. I've no problem with speaking to the girl." That out of the way, he looked at Faith again, smiling. "I really am glad you're getting on so well here."

Jacob had himself a mountain of food, as usual. Like he wouldn't show for this sort of thing.

He'd probably even mingle with the eating.
