Yay, I got a Sunday update out despite family stuff! Before midnight, even. *grins* Possibly at least one more chapter tomorrow, though I really do need to turn my attention to some of my other poor, neglected stories
( Read more... )
wAI!!!!! *cries* OMFG That's so terribly emotional, I just couldn't help tearing ;_____;
I understand Tori's reasons for putting on that Ice-Prince armour up again, [and he IS really cool in it] but poooooor Shishido...poorpoorpoor Shishi. I can't believe he actually did all THAT, and for a moment, I was actually VERY angry at the fact that he was willing to sink so low. Then I thought, nvm the other person's TORI, so its alright. *huggles him more* I'm completely in love with Shishi again. NO ONE can hate him when he's so damn sincere T________T
And they are finally gettin closer again! [Hope there will be moremoremore chaps of fluff after they get together] Y_Y
Ohtori is the one and ONLY thing that would make Shishido sink so low again. He's just too important, just as important as his spot on the team. Moreso. *petpets them both* And nothing else could have convinced Ohtori.
It is so.. utterly... LOVELY... to see this. So many ShishiTori fics are all hearts and roses and happysappy things and this conflict.. just blows my mind. It also echoes very very harshly to an incident that happened with an ex-friend of mine a few months ago. Except unlike Shishido and Ohtori, no one ever came to apologise to me for how much they utterly hurt and crushed me with their words and behaviour. Oh, you just made me relate so MUCH to Ohtori it hurts... Eee. This was great. Great. I can't wait to see the next chapter!
*pets and hugs and snuggles* Sap is good, but life isn't really all about sap. As these two are learning. At least since it's my story, I CAN make things better in the end - as you and I both know, real life doesn't always work itself out so neatly.
Love seeing your icon, it always means good things. :)
I absolutely love the way you're writing this. I think the characterizations are great. I love watching confused!Shishido struggle with his feelings. And yay for Ohtori not being a doormat. Good job, as usual!
*laughs* I wasn't able to renew my paid account last time it expired, so this is the only Hyoutei icon I have. At this point I'm almost afraid to change it - people might not realize it's a post by me if it doesn't have this icon on it. *laughs*
Er, did I say this was all going to remain strictly from Shishido's point of view? *sweatdrops*
[laughs] and that was my *main* discontent with this chapter--was the sudden jump-switch of narrators. Ah, but the boys are finally talking again, Shishido's done his apologizing, and he didn't do too shabby a job of it... he managed to impress upon Otori enough that he's serious, so they're willing to make a second go of it....
*coughs* I was afraid people might react badly to the sudden switch in style. My reason for doing it will become clear in the next chapter, promise. -_- It's a deliberate stylistic thing.
it would be nice to know what Otori's thinking.... it would give the readers more information to work this (and then Otori probably wouldn't get half so abused by the fans... although, Shishido might receive a good fair share of hits and thwaps by then, too...) and, I don't know how you would've done the Amano Otori confrontation over Shishido without Shishido being there otherwise---and that's something I, personally, don't think Otori would want Shishido to see. But... is it going to be a limited narative switch--limited only to the scenes shared with Shishido?--or are you really going to bring Otori completely into the narrative flow? Now that things are sort of fixed between them, that lack of communication isn't so pronunced to the point that we don't know what Otori's thinking at all....
