*waves arms like a total dork* Mememememe!!!

As long as we don't plan to go during my rehearsals (I'm aiming at being in the Fantasy Masquerade and the Historical Masquerade), I'm totally up for hitting the theater. :)

Ironically, I was just telling my mom that I may kidnap con peeps to go see a movie. Our fav theater to use (because it's not real expensive and the chairs are nice) is just outside Denver. Heck, Monday morning might be perfect (the theater is AMC, and it offers a morning discount if they have times before either 10 or 11am).

I'll bring a comfy costume just for this (sadly, I don't have a good Star Trek themed costume, but I'll wear my Command pin!).

Well of course! DUH. We'll definitely need to take a break from the con and go watch the movie. :D

We'll look at the programming schedule, and maybe catch an early matinee? What do you think?

Also helping your wife with the Future Fashion Folio, which is Sunday morning, so we can't do it then either. :P ( ... )

Well... will you be in Denver by Thursday evening? Because if you are, then we might be able to go to the opening night showing. What do you think?

I'm in western Nebraska and may be persuaded to make a road trip.... If there's definite plans I can definitely make plans!

Well, we're going to be in Denver for Costume Con. You should totally come to the convention, hang out, geek out, and do a movie with us. What do you think? Road trip? :D

You know in nearly 15 years of fandom I've never been to a con. It's sort of disgraceful really.

Well, this is a con specifically focused on the costumes. It's not a "big sci-fi con" with big celebrities and stuff. There are incredible costumes, costume competitions, formal events, workshops, panels, discussions, and parties. Naturally, there are a lot of sci-fi geeks who are costumers. In fact, the biggest competition is the sci-fi/fantasy masquerade.

My wife and I have an extra hotel room reserved. What do you think?

Also, we're looking at watching the Star Trek movie at a nearby theater on Thursday night before the con. Interested?

Alas... totally different fandom. Unless they like Star Trek, too. Then it's all good. :D

Wait, you're coming to Dallas? I missed this post and am trying to catch up! When are you coming? I live about three hours from Dallas! Would be great if you could stop in OKC for lunch or something!

Yep, coming to Dallas! But I'm flying in, not driving, so I won't be going through anywhere else on the way. Alas. How busy are you during the week? I'll be there for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, the 29th and 30th of May.
