Well, we're going to be in Denver for Costume Con. You should totally come to the convention, hang out, geek out, and do a movie with us. What do you think? Road trip? :D

You know in nearly 15 years of fandom I've never been to a con. It's sort of disgraceful really.

Well, this is a con specifically focused on the costumes. It's not a "big sci-fi con" with big celebrities and stuff. There are incredible costumes, costume competitions, formal events, workshops, panels, discussions, and parties. Naturally, there are a lot of sci-fi geeks who are costumers. In fact, the biggest competition is the sci-fi/fantasy masquerade.

My wife and I have an extra hotel room reserved. What do you think?

Also, we're looking at watching the Star Trek movie at a nearby theater on Thursday night before the con. Interested?
