So today was spent chipping wood and cutting firewood. We chipped about two yards worth of mulch. And Monday, there will be more of the same.

Today I bought my hunting licenses. So I guess I'll twist my own arm and go hunting this season. Though the tree cutting on the side is kinda keeping me busy right now.

Today was one of those days. Last night it looked like we would have a short day today but it didn't turn out that way. No worries though. After work I went to Lowes and picked up a second chainsaw. This one is a bit smaller than my other one and will be easier to use when I'm up in a tree.

So today was another day. I worked of course, most of the day I felt like I was dragging and being slow, but some how we managed to finish every job in less time than normal. It was a good day. So this week has started like the last few weeks. Yesterday, I ended up having to drop a weeping willow tree for friends. The tree was listing to starboard because of the storm. The monster in the ocean has passed us by. Plenty of rain and wind. We had very little damage. We never even lost power though friends in the area did lose power. I've already been out today helping cut up a tree that fell on a freinds' house ( Read more... )

Well, it appears to be morning,. it also appears to have diminished and moved north along the coast. We have yet to loose power. The only real damage I've seen has been stuff on the street. So far so good.
