I got my copy of Myth and Religion of the North: The Religion of Ancient Scandinavia by Turville-Petre today. It's hardback (with dust jacket!) and in wonderful condition, except for a slight musty smell and yellowing of the pages. Copyright 1964, a first edition! Well, I finished all my pre-work for my report on The Elder Troth. Writing starts tomorrow.
I also found a copy of Myth and Religion of the north: The Religion of Ancient Scandinavia by Turville-Petre for under fifty bucks so I had to pounce on it. The cheapest one I found before then was over a hundred.

O&E VI
Running: I ended up taken an unintentional 5 day hiatus. However, on a positive note, it may have been what my legs needed. My initial run was farther than usual, about 3 minutes by time. I actually felt the cardio burn today which is good. All and all I finished the run in 28 minutes, give or take - I still don't have a reliable stop watch. ( Read more... ) -
Car redux
Had a flat tire when Jen and I got back from our walk! Luckily our tire "road hazard" insurance is still valid! Guess I'll be at the Tire Barn later this morning. -

Jogging was crap this morning, too muggy to breathe mostly. I finished the course but don't feel good about it. I don't expect to do better every day, but there seemed to be no bonus to today's run at all. Bleh. -
