It has been strange, and heavy, but I thank you for forcing me to slow down and consider the bigness of things. All my life, I've kept you far away at all costs, but Jewelia's passing has shown me that you're not as big and bad as I thought you were. Let's wrestle this out (a drink wouldn't hurt).

I should have called you when you asked me to. I'm so sorry. I will forever regret that. I wish I could tell you that you will always be in my heart.

I look back at some of these old posts and both laugh/cringe at how negative I used to be. Aren't we 30-somethings lucky to have the perpetual time capsule that is the internet?

Although I don't miss the cynical, emotionally immature person I used to be, I miss a lot of the people I used to have in my life.
