Bugger, the council didn't take the recycling today. The box with tins and bottles is still on the driveway. I thought they'd taken it because I heard some crashing about and glass breaking outside earlier.

I'm getting used to car crashes outside the house, there's one every couple of months or so. It's a blind-ish double-T junction and there's always some idiot who thinks that he's invincible, especially late at night. People just drive right over it at 50-60mph and hope there's nothing coming. Last week we saw a cyclist get hit by a car on that ( Read more... ) -

Well, the last one of our uni friends has escaped Middlesbrough. As peregrine_168 said, I don't want to get into any mushy crap, but he'll be missed. Good luck in the new job.
On the bright side, because this smoke grenade has a label on the side stating it's not to be taken on aeroplanes, it had to be left behind. In my responsible hands.

That Google Thing
What's that thing called where you search Google using two words and try to get one-result answers? Whatever it's called, it's self destructive. As soon as I post that I've found something, Google will pick it up and ruin it.
Anyway, I've found one, but I think it might be cheating as it contains Olde English. -

I was thinking randomly today about things that happened the day people are born (can you tell I'm getting old?). Apparently the world took a day off on the day I was born.
