I had to slap myself on the wrist to get this up. Note to self: Stop procrastinating. It's so hard finding places where to cut this, but I declare I'm almost finished. ¬_¬

As much as I love--love--a domestic Sasuke and Naruto, it feels kind of weird slipping it in here. And, despite my attempts not to, I'm officially past the 40k mark. smfh at ( Read more... )

WOW YOU POSTED THIS FASTTTTT. I weirdly really enjoy Naruto and Sasuke doing constructive things like this...

guuh there are so many great moments? it's all very understated as well, and I adore how you make Naruto be quite stupid quite often. I always find that if you want to stay true to the manga, then naruto must be very stupid at times, and it's something i find a bit difficult to do without taking away from the realism, but you got it just right!

and Naruto in this chapter... so very tactless.

Hopefully not too fast. Since it's only "three parts", I'm trying not to procrastinate. Yet the proofreading process, not that it does any good, is killing me.

Plus, I said I was giving you birthday fic. So birthday fic you shall have, a month late if need be. Hopefully, if lj stops screwing with my head, I'll have the third part up by either Saturday or Sunday.

I'm really glad you like him so far. :3 I prefer a mature Naruto, but I'm taking lots of leeway since he's seventeen here. I really do love his obtuse nature, though. I think it's rather endearing.

Birthday fic for me makes me VERY HAPPY. There are so few authors who I would really like to receive fic from, but you are definitely near the top of the list!

Yeah, I think the balance of older/mature Naruto vs dorky Naruto is often difficult. But like I said, you're doing it!
