I'm holding out for The Rani, who was absolutely clever enough and sneaky enough to save herself, and would under no circumstances tell the Doctor she was doing it.

ooh, I like that idea. That would work so well.

I had the same thought last night - the little girl *is* the Doctor. However, I've yet to piece together what I think the whole spacesuit thing is. He clearly knew what he was doing though. And the girl - the girl was awfully calm about regenerating, as if she was used to it.

What is this theory about River being the TARDIS made human? I think I may love that idea entirely. Just like I was simultaneously in love with/repulsed by the fact we dialed the Doctor/River innuendo meter up from 3 to 8 over the season break.

Next week, Hugh Bonneville as a Pirate! I'm as much excited about him on Doctor Who as I am about the whole pirate angle. YAY!

Yeah, the calm acceptance of the totally freaky regeneration thing was like, "It's old hat". Old soul in a young body :)

I had the idea that River is the TARDIS back in the day (really, the only girl the Doctor has ever loved; she can fly the TARDIS better than any Time Lord; She made a Dalek beg for mercy which ties to that WWII ep in which the Doctor made the Daleks back off by pretending he'd use the TARDIS against them). I've seen other mentions of the theory, so I assume that it's out there, at least ( ... )

I guess I've spent too much time wanting to be River Song when I grow up to care much about thinking about where the beginning of her story is going to end up with us. I like this theory, and will fully be on board with it and looking for more clues to it until proven otherwise not true.

Hugh Bonneville plays Robert, Earl of Grantham in Downtown Abbey and is absolutely brilliant. He's the one with the beard on the homepage right now. And I'm sure he's going to rock his part. So yes, maybe missing out just a little. But I'm biased because of Downton Abbey, which I love dearly, despite my normal attraction to that of the sci fi and/or blow-em-up, shoot-em-up variety of tv show.

Yah, I'd like to be River when I grow up too.

I look forward to meeting our new pirate overlords next week :)

My mate's eight year old daughter came up with the same girl=the Doctor theory. He's so proud at having produced a fangirl. *grin*

Clone Doctor, huh? *zips lips*

I may or may not know something about an upcoming ep.

Spoilers, sweetie.

(aka, if you really want to know, I will spill. Privately.)

I'm trying so hard to stay spoiler-free this season, so I'll have to restrain myself :) but thanks for the offer.

I just need to survive without going insane waiting for more Who.

So... due to coming straight after the whole, 'what if I had a time baby?' I'm suspicious the kid is Amy's child, but imbued with some wacky powers due to being conceived/born inside the tardis.

OR somehow those horrible Silence folks impregnated her with a time-lord baby. Why else were they kidnapping her? While TPTB are saying there aren't any more time lords right NOW, who says there can't be more MADE?

My brain is kind of ping-ponging with ideas right now, but that's one of them in the mean time.
