Season 2, for sure. It had both of my top favorite episodes (“What Is and What Should Never Be” and “Born Under a Bad Sign”), and as far as I’m concerned, there were no missteps in that season except perhaps “No Exit.” Though even that one wasn’t the worst episode in the series. I just love that season so fucking much, and I could watch it over and over and over again and not skip anything (except maybe the aforementioned so-so ep).
It gave us hilarity to the point of tears (“Tall Tales,” “Hollywood Babylon”), angst to the point of tears (“All Hell Breaks Loose, Part I and II”),
sexy evil!Sam (“Born Under a Bad Sign”), and...sorry, my mind went blank after that lovely image. My bad.
Anyway, point being, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the second season, and although the rest of the series is awesomesauce, that season will forever be my favorite.
