::sniff:: A perfect thing to read before being off to bed. The idea of the tree and the leaves are brilliant! I can just picture it with all the leaves spinning and hovering into place! Very original! Here Tonks finally get to go out with Remus in public, and she wants to go home! But I've always liked the idea that she was a bit afraid to leave him again after the final battle. Seems very probable!

Thanks for posting! I'm commiting to del.i.ci.ous right now!

I've always thought so, too! Or at least, I know I would be paranoid about it after a battle like that!

Thanks darlin', you're the best!! :D

I don't even know if I have words for this, I loved it, the imagery about Tonks and this war hero image - about Remus's first time going to kiss her and getting a knee in his face, the imagery of Ted Tonks singing Over the Rainbow to Dora, just...everything seemed so perfect <3

Thank you for making my day, I will probably want to fanart this >.>

That was really great. Of course, I love that Remus and Tonks were alive after the war, but I think the tribute to the fallen was the best part.

This is absolutely enchanting. It's full of sorrow and humour and, most of all, happiness, and you've got the mix of it all absolutely spot-on. I didn't want it to end.

The tree is the most wonderful idea, as are the silver leaves and who Tonks gives them to. I love the imagery throughout, especially how Remus thinks about his wife and child, and lines like for the most fleeting of moments, they are each other and they are the night, which is romantic and powerful and glorious. I also love how every character mentioned has a chance to shine (ha!) and be brought to life in a way we'll instantly recognise, particularly Harry and George. And soulless megalomaniacs with male pattern baldness brought on snorting over the keyboard time, lol.

And that really is a wonderful last line. Though I still didn't want it - or their story in this - to end. ♥

Oh, this fic is a precious thing. I love fics hat deal with the direct aftermath of the war and this had just the right combination of lingering guilt and sadness, sombre but touching nostalgia for the fallen and cute, family fluff. I loved Remus's admiration for Tonks in this, and the sweet inclusion of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' (I just watched The Wizard of Oz yesterday). The gold leaves were a fantastic way of remembering all the fallen, and it was really poignant and clever of you to include Draco.
Thank you for writing this fic!
