I've seen it, but Jej is very suspicious of anime. I'm afraid NGE might break him - we'll have to work up to that one.

The Day After: first movie to ever realistically depict the aftermath of nuclear holocaust. Though it might seem tame by today's standards, click here to see some of the immediate reactions to the film, including Reagan signing nuclear arms treaties.

Awesome. Yes, I'd heard about this film but not seen it. I will search it out. It looks great.

The Rapture qualifies, and is really pretty good, but it's possibly not the kind of "end of days" movie you're looking for.
