Aww. I'm sorry. I know I have to put my dog down soon, and he, just as your dog did, gave me so much comfort and helped me through so many nights when my family situation tore me apart. I know how it feels because I have thought about it so many times as I balled my eyes out.

It's ok. It sucks that they are dead but at least the were a wonderful part of my life even if it wasn't for very long.
