Movie #1: Toy Story 3: I actually think I liked this part better than the first two movies. ( I know that some of you guys are very fond of Toy Story )

Haha, I have so many fandom LBDs, it's kind of appalling. Kevin Walker, Leonard McCoy, Nyota Uhura (both of those are the Reboot versions) are some of them, although I'm sure I have more.

Haha, I know! I think the Star Trek Reboot actually caused a reboot of my brain and overwrote my system. I don't think I could watch TOS today without thinking: "Wait! These are the wrong actors! And why are Spock and Uhura not kissing?!"

And Kevin, oh Kevin, I'm still so fond of him, even if B&S and I grew apart a little during the last season.

Haha, I remember when I was in the Prince of Tennis fandom, Ryoma and Fuji were my LBD. Nowadays, I tend to be pretty loyal with my ships. :) I guess Kurt would be the closest thing to a LBD right now. *high-fives*

Kurt *sighs* ... Well, Kurt is one of a kind.

Nowadays, I tend to be pretty loyal with my ships.
So what pairings do you ship? Outside of Glee, I mean?

Well, even with Kurt I favor Kurt/Mike and Kurt/Finn over Kurt/Puck. (I'm strange, but I can't get over my knee-jerk Puck threw Kurt into a dumpster - no! reaction. I read Puck/Kurt only because it seems like they have the most fic writers.) I'm also a big Brittana fan and I like Finn/Rachel, Rachel/Jesse, Puck/Quinn, Quinn/Mercedes, etc. fine.

Criminal Minds - Morgan/Reid or Morgan/Garcia.

Harry Potter - Harry/Draco, Harry/Hermione (not all of us are batshit crazy, I swear), Albus Severus/Scorpius. Actually come to think of it, Harry is probably also one of my LBDs - I have a soft spot for Harry/Neville.

Hikaru no Go- Shindou Hikaru/Touya Akira.

Hana Kimi - Sano/Mizuki. (By the way, my Hana Kimi pimp post with links to places to download at the bottom. I remember gushing about it when you asked for manga recs and it is truly excellent and adorable.)

Inception - Ariadne/Arthur. <3 My del.icio.us network is overflowing with Arthur/Eames fics, sadly.

Oh, I completely understand. I mean, I do ship Kurt/Puck - mostly because of the whole nemesis=sexual tension thing, and because I ship Kurt with anyone anyway (see above) - but while I do have a weakness for the gruff, rough, silent type (like Eliot, or Mal, or Hotch), I just don't really like mean people. And Puck can still be a bit of an asshole a bit too often. So, I guess you could say that I ship Kurt/Puck in fanfiction, but not so much on the show ... if that makes any sense?

Thanks for the Hana Kimi rec! Definitely going to check it out later today!

1. :D I love them all, but I can understand that perfectly. The third movie was really fantastic.

I'm not a big LBD person. :( That kinda sucks, actually. I like it when people can be so open about pairings .
There's only a few exclusions, like a really good author *cough*likeyou*cough*, or when it's a fandom where I am really open about pairings, love many, many characters about the same and no particular dynamics appeal to me. In these, though, I probably won't even read fanfiction or do anything. If I do, I'll probably have a preference anyway. I mean, I remember a time when I was just okay with shipping a person with two people, but it seems so strange to me now ( ... )

Although now that I think about it, I'm pretty okay with Kurt getting around. I like shipping him with girls because in most cases it's hilarious
I know! Kurt/Brittany is probably my favorite crack-pairing. They are so cute together!

The thing is, I am, like, a friendshipper at heart.
You mean, you ship, uhm, friendships? Yeah, I totally get that. I said it before (and talked to thexpuzzler about it at great lengths), but there are not enough great friendships on TV! (Especially friendships between a boy and a girl that don't get turned into some kind of romance in the end). I love Kurt&Mercedes to bits, and back when I was still in Grey's Anatomy fandom, I was a huge fan of George&Izzie! And I adore Garcia&Reid. So yes, soft spot for BFF pairings here!

They're the best. :D Except, I think, maybe Kurt/Brittany/Santana. OH HILARITY.

Yeah! I just sometimes really, really love simply friendships (are they boy/boy, girl/girl or boy/girl - and I agree, totally not enough of those on TV/in the movies), reading about them or watching them - and I love some to death.
Heck, with some of my ~ships, I just started really loving them as great friends, and with most of my favorite pairings I'm actually pretty much okay with them staying just that.
...As long as they are the most important person in each other's life, that is! lol, Kirk/Spock will probably always remain my STANDARD - not like I haven't shipped before them I'm a sap. D:

Haven't seen the third part yet, but yes, it's awesome, isn't it?

I already pimped it out to a friend of mine who's not in fandom, but a huge Sherlock Holmes fan anyway.

And yes, I'm fine, thanks for asking! Mostly, I'm waiting for my housemates to arrive, so that we can rent a car and go to Target or IKEA and buy a lot of stuff for the house! I'll definitely buy a new bed + mattress. I don't even want to know how many people have slept on the mattress that I'm currently using :(

And now I'm off to have coffee with a friend!

How's your weekend? How are you?

YOu have got to to see the third part! GOD! Prepare for not breathing.

Yes, it is absolutely awesome! and it's been a really long time since I've 'crushed' on a character this hard :)

Ouch for the mattress, but I'm sure you'll get it sorted.

I'm glad you're settling in fine. I'd say, hmm starbucks, but as you know they are here, too now. :)

Weekend was fine, lots of Sherlock watching :)
It raining here (Düsseldorf), so the perfect day to read lots of fics!

i mean, i think it's safe to say that in most cases a person's LBD is at least ONE of their favorite characters?
Thinking about it, I'd say that for me it's mostly characters that I feel the most protective about. Like, they usually go through a lot, are misunderstood, get pushed around, are teased a lot by the other characters ... or sometimes, they are characters that are neglected not so much on the show but rather by fandom ... so I have this need for stories where everyone realizes how awesome and sexy and fucking amazing this character actually is, and the more people see that, the better. Haha, I don't know what it says about me that feeling protective of characters leads to whoring them out to basically everyone on the show, but yeah *shrugs* :D

WHY DOES IT NOT SURPRISE ME THAT REID IS YOUR LBD. <33333 i loooove reid!
Oh, Reid is awesome. I kind of want to pet his head and feed him lots of cake. But mostly, I just want to stare at him a lot and think about him having sex with other people.
