My healing powers seem pretty adequate! A week after the fact and the bruising is going away and I'm mostly comfortable wherever and not having to be sacked out in bed all day. Woot!

Also I'm able to taper off the drugs a bit, which is both annoying (headaches) and pleasing, since I'm neurotic about taking painkillers for long. Also, when I'm off the opiates I and DRINK again, whee.

I have all the grumbling abdomen in the WORLD. It is not much fun and I disapprove greatly D: I do, however, have an imaging referral for the 9th of next month and I'm kind of hoping that the sonographer is actually going to find something.

(I am also making plans for my next weekend of festival that involve registering with the medic tent on their alert list and organising my fellow campers into a network of if-one-of-you-hasn't-seen-me-for-more-than-ten-minutes-go-get-a-paramedic-and-start-ringing-my phone. I am DETERMINED that the viscera of fail is not going to ruin my weekend in a field full of music)

How are YOU feeling, apart from opioid-floaty?

I disapprove of this 9th of August business! What's it take to get a damn U/S? (Do you have private imaging clinics in the UK? I just got a requisition from a clinic doc and hied myself to an X-ray/ultrasound clinic in a couple days. A CT or MRI takes more doing obvs, but I even got that in a week. What gives, NHS?) I also hope they find something to do something about, so long as it is not Terrible.

Have they at least got you some drugs? Tramadol treated me pretty good pre-surgery.

(You take it easy, you. No hoisting tents and jumping around. *shakes finger at you* I have first-hand experience of ladyparts fail ruining a concert, but if it acts up don't just stand around bearing it stoically.)

Me, I am well! The incision is healing pretty good, I think. It pulls less when I get up and the bruise around it has turned a lovely neon yellow. I'm not the most energetic creature, and I walk like an old lady, but I'm all good.

\m/

I've been up and rollin' since the day after surgery, but not too often and in was much easier/comfier to loaf around in bed than sit. Then sitting up was okay, but only on cushy chairs. The oak kitchen chairs are a new accomplishment, but since I couldn't put the laptop in my lap, and couldn't lean forward to a coffee table I couldn't use it until I could stand the hard chairs. My life = the most exciting.

WHAT ARE THOSE GUYS I CANT EVEN DEAL WITH THEM. HOW ARE THEY SO ADORKABLE?!

I shall be watching the new eps tomorrow. Expect squee.

Meres! I'm very glad your doing OK & that you're feeling better. Also that you got the postcard! I now can't remember what was on it.

And as for news, uhm... I may have got a letter the other day telling me that I've been provisionally accepted for the scholarship. \o/

Get lots of rest & take it easy, Meres! ♥
