Oregon!!!
We are two weeks away from getting the heck out of Texas for a few weeks! We are flying into Portland on the 6th of August, and out of Seattle on the 25th, spending the weekend of the 7th-9th in Eugene, and going to Seattle on the 18th or so. Plane tickets!
I finally just picked my own dates and got plane tickets! I wasn't getting much feedback from in-laws and my dad on what days worked for them, so I got tired of waiting for a more solid answer, and just did it. The Republic of Tea, Vanilla Almond black tea.
Even the second cup (brewed with same bag) was awesome. I could sit with my nose in the cup all day just breathing in the vanilla-almond-y goodness.
I adore tea. -
Tornado Sirens
Poor Kit, he hasn't gotten much sleep the last few days. Partly his own fault, staying up late reading. Last night though it was the tornado sirens again. They go off at least once if not twice a week during the spring and fall, so we mostly ignore them. Any time the winds kick up they go off. watching another exercise futility is a bit funny
The guys that come every Monday to maintain the grounds at my apartment complex are here. It's a windy day, winds 15-25 mph, not terrible, but windy. They are out there with those loud blowers trying to blow leaves off the grass and sidewalks....into the wind.

The shallowness of where I live
Okay, most radio stations have give-aways, usually something related to the type of music they play, concert tickets, t-shirts, CD's, meet-the-band, sometimes the classic rock station gives tickets to plays and the Nutcracker and such. Awesome and Easy date nut rolls,
Get huge thing of cheap pitted dates at Costco. Stick them in the fridge and wonder what to do with them for several days. Decide they are a little dry and not so great for eating as they are.
Go grocery shopping and get inspired, expensive date-nut rolls sound good, can I make those?
