She mutters something in Russian that's full of expletives and rushes over to him]

[He's damn ashamed. It's rare someone gets the best of him like this, and the very last person he wants to see him in this state is Natasha. But, of course, she was the one to find him

The team had brought him up to speed on the extraterrestrial species that had been seen on Earth since he'd been brought back, but he'd never seen one in real life. It would have been impossible to tell the woman apart from any of the other women in the bar just from looking. Even the way she acted fit seamlessly with the patronage. It wasn't until they left together, until he found himself alone with her that she started to change.

Bucky is just starting to come to when he sees Natasha running toward him, and he does his best to sit up on his own.] Damn...crazy...redheaded bitch... [He looks up at her, realizing how that could be interpreted, and reassures her.] Not you.

That doesn't give me a lot of information. [Tasha kneels next to him, carefully inspecting the wounds. She's trying to not let the fact he was a perfect gentleman, or his own version of a perfect gentleman, when she was so drunk she couldn't see straight make her act...differently.]

What happened? Do I have to go kill anyone? [Because she will. Without hesitation. That's just how she rolls.]

Skrull. [As if that explains everything. His brows furrow as he looks her over.] Do you have your communicator on you? You might wanna get rid of it. She took mine and I bet is trying to use it to track down everyone else's... [He winces, drawing in a sharp hiss of air.]

[Tasha frowns and pulls the comm off, tossing it in the nearest sewer grate.] Can you walk? [She's going to be checking for broken ribs now. It's a lot like feeling you up but don't get any ideas, M'kay?]

[He shakes his head.] Hurt my leg. She was good, Tasha. Fast. [He shakes his head again, but this time, it's in disbelief. He'd never seen anything quite like it.]

[Now she's starting to get scared, and it takes a lot to scare her.]

[A bitter laugh escapes him.] No. She got me, or couldn't you tell? [No broken bones, but he's sore as hell.]

[It's sharp, demanding. Natasha fixes him with a very serious look then.]

Did you kill her?

[His own voice is just as sharp when he answers her.] No, dammit. If I did kill her, would I be so worried right now?

[She blinks, then nods in understanding. Natasha stand up, pulling both guns out. She hands one to Bucky, a calm businesslike look on her face as she does.]

[Yeah...she's gonna go slaughter something. Right. Now.]

[He takes the gun and looks up at her. Sure, he could shoot a gun even injured like shis. But it's what she says that has his eyes widening.] Natasha?

[There is no room for discussion in her tone. If Bucky wants her to stop, well he'll have to do something about it.]

Be careful. [He's not going to stop her and doesn't think he could if he wanted to. Instead, he looks at her imploringly, hoping she'll take his advice.]

Always. [It's more of a promise then a statement. Tasha hurries down the street, only to return less than five minutes later.]

We should go. [She says before offering Bucky her hand.]
