Her face was white as snow, her eyes were darting about the space around her, and she felt like it was hard to breathe as she was swept up in a wave of confusion. That's where the pain and anger came in and the uncontrollable panic seemed like it could only be stifled by some outside assistance.]

It's when her expression clearly shows the same thing that he wonders what's happening - but only briefly, as it seemed no one else had noticed, and no one else was moving to offer to help. Well, he couldn't let her stand there like that all day, could he? He takes a few steps forward, extending a hand slowly]

[Yes, he was going for the obvious question again, but Sam had never seen Cas so afraid. He was recoiled, pressed against the motel wall, his eyes wild and wide.

[He raises his hands, keeping his movements slow and deliberate.] C'mon Cas, what's wrong? Talk to me.

[Sam was right to be cautious, Castiel had never been to this state of fear before. His tie was pulled loose, trench coat extra crumpled and big dark bags under his eyes. His entire body was shaking and he looked rather pale, skin even whiter thanks to the sharp contrast of his dark hair. The angel swallowed, tried to gain composure of himself.]

Sam, You can't. I- ..Sam, the voices. They keep saying they are coming for us.

Cas, what you're hearing.. it's not real. You stepped in front of a curse for me. [And had scared the hell out of him in the process. They were supposed to be investigating a coven while Dean recovered from a nasty bout of the flu at Bobby's. Sam had managed to half-carry, half-drag the angel back to the motel room to try and sort out what had happened to him.

[A terror curse. Great. The hell was he going to break that?]
