Huff puff! It was dark... And quiet... Wolf knew that there were people around; he could hear them, smell them. But all the houses were in complete darkness, heavy blinds pulled over the windows. There were no street lights, just the sliver of moon to light his way.
Somewhere above him he could hear a faint rumbling sound. Something big in the sky.
He sighs, trying to reign in his fear a bit. He never much liked living underground when he was a cub. His shape wasn't as well suit to it as his siblings.
"I've been in worse predicaments before..." He tries to put a positive light on it. "As long was there's no wicked witches involved, it'll work out on the side of good."
No mention of the lives that would be lost though. Happily ever after or curses and a terrible death. That's how it worked.
That actually makes her smile a bit, even if there's a shadow of confusion on her face. The man reminds her a bit of her own father, looking for the possitive approach no matter if it is the childish one.
"Makes me wonder what could be worse than this, Sir." Not that she is one to judge. "I believe we haven't yet introduced each other."
He could come up with a couple of examples, but he doesn't know the details of this war, of the horrors that either side are capable of committing, he he decides that it's best not to comment further.
"Hoh... Where are my manners?" He shakes his head to himself. "I'm Wolf."
"Wolf?" She arches a brow, but is not all that surprised. She's already met a man with that surname before. It's just odd not to her a firstname to go with it.
"My name is Robin." She answers simply. "Thank you for your he-" She flinches as the sound of another explotion can be heard, the room shaking slightly as the flame of the lamp fights to stay alive.
Despite another whimper that escapes his mouth, Wolf tries his best to pretend not to be affected by the shaking all around him.
He takes a breath and gives her a smiles, bowing his head a little towards her. "No, thank you, Miss Robin, for taking me in and offering me shelter. I am much indebted to your kindness."
Holding onto her seat, she tries her best to focus on the conversation. "No, I-" Another shake, dust from the ceiling lingers around them, easy to see on the dim light.
He only nodded. He wasn't comfortable with it, and it didn't feel safe, but he was used to having to make do with the lesser of two evils, he'd been making those kind of choices his whole life.
He watched him, worried. The motherly side of Robin that usually looked after her father kicked in, and soon she was thinking of ways to distract him. Fortunately, that also helped distracting her from the situation.
"There's some food here if you're hungry." She glanced at their canned supplies. "Don't be shy about it."
Somewhere above him he could hear a faint rumbling sound. Something big in the sky.
And then the sirens started to wail.

"... I didn't know... I've not been here long."

"It is news all over the world."
Or so they have heard.

"Not in my part of the world." His eyes flashed yellow a second.

Looking down at her own hands on her lap, she feels a bit ashamed for calling him out.
"Sorry. I guess it must be terrifying for you to have moved here in such horrible times."

"Have you been down here before? Is it safe?"

Was it safe at all though? Only God knew that answer.
