OMFG this chapter was AWSOME, i was a little confused with the age thing though. wolfram was 11 and conrad was like 22 or somthing right?. I can totally see somthing like that happening between them, corad seems like he would have a creepy brother complex and wolfram does anything for people he loves (even if he complains while doing it).
I really hope wolfram can deal with this and stop blaming himself, this depressed and overly compliant mood is making me sick. hopfully yuuri can stop being so whiny and ease wolfs pain.
And Conrad! OMG is it just me or does anyone else think he deserves to be beaten. "...I believe he was a little younger than Greta is now." my ass, conrad just didn't want to admit he was raping a child. BASTARD!

anyway update soon

Actually, Yuuri has been aging like a demon since he came to shin makoku, so he's only about 17 right now. So Conrad's "age" was around 16. Perhaps I should make that more clear >.> So thanks for pointing out the confusion!

And thank you for reading and the great comment. <3

Hey there. Sorry for not commenting on the past chapters... to lurk is my natural state of being, and I pretty much did that for the last months. Took some effort to de-lurk, too ^^;

But at any rate, I went and re-read the past chapters, so I will try to give a rounded review for them all... which brings an interesting point to light. How is fanfiction to be reviewed? It's originally delivered as individual chapters, and reading it complete is a much different experience than reading it as it is published. Are we meant to review every individual chapters? Should our standards change for completed works? Is fanfiction meant to be reviewed as a "serious" pieces of literature? Are we even allowed to criticize at all? What is the meaning of life, for that matter? At any rate, I can't rant on that, this is too long already ( ... )

I'm thinking of Macbeth's porter scene: after a gruesome murder and the paranoia of the murderers, the following scene is basically a porter talking about booze and dongs. It's clashing, but allows the public to rest just a little before the tragedy returns. In the same play, the wife and infant of McDuff make plenty of jokes before they are slaughtered by orders of the king.
Or in a book closer to your themes, Joyce Carol Oates's We Were the Mulvaneys deals with rape and the absolute destruction of a family without being absolutely grim by writing moments of tenderness between the family members, even as the raped daughter drifts away and the father is consumed by alcohol ( ... )

First of all, I LOVE YOU so much for taking the time to leave such an amazing, thoughtful and helpful review!

didn't Yuuri leave her with a translation device?

Okay, looks like this is another thing I failed to get across. Yes, they can all understand each other. Greta can talk to Miko, she just... doesn't very much. Or at least, not enough to make her want to tell her the truth about her situation. I should, um, make that clear ^^;;

Greta's rape just sort of an excuse to treat Wolf's own? The focus shifted very much in chapters VI and VII,VI and VII were very Wolf-centric, but all that also takes place in one day (one really long, emotionally exhausting day...). The next chapter goes back somewhat to Greta and her rape and its consequences. I did want Yuuri and Wolfram to all but forget about her ( ... )

This chapter was full of psychological issues. And the heavy ones to boot.

I read it with glaring eyes, unwilling to be interrupted, early morning.

Sometimes the victim must talk about the ordeal, or let it out of their systems in various ways depend on the individuals and their significant ones.

11 years old in human age... that's still a child.

Oh, may I friend you?

One little question about part 1 I forgot to ask; Wolframs mentions something about Conrad leaving bruises on his face instead of the back of his neck. I assume this means that when Conrad wasn't abusing him sexually he was abusing him physically ( ... )

Continuing on...

when Conrad wasn't abusing him sexually he was abusing him physically?
Yes.

Speaking of which I find myself hoping for a future Conrad POV; what was going through his mind during all this? Often an abuser was himself once a victim.
Right now I'm still hoping that I can get away without using a different POV than the three I've been sticking with. It will be tricky to get Conrad to talk about it, but my goal is to show a clearer picture gradually, through present conversations and flashbacks.

I wonder though if it should have been put in a separate chapter
That... is such a good idea. I probably should have done that... I don't think I'll mess around with anything until the next chapter is ready, but maybe I'll be able to go back and arrange things in some way that isn't so overwhelming.

I actually did enjoy this chapter and find it very high quality and I'm looking forward to chapter 8.
^___^

Once again, THANK YOU for taking the time for these awesome comments. Everything you tell me is helpful. <3

I was waiting for soooo long for the next charter and there it is !!!!! and as brilliant as ever. It`s really sad to watch them to straggle with this problem, but on the other side theirs behavior is so realistic. Yuuri trying to understand, and being the clueless wimp, making the situation only gets worse… and Wolfram is so Wolfram. Being stubborn and prideful of course that he want to forget everything and never, never hear, speak or remember about past ( ... )

Yay! I'm glad you like the fic and think the behavior is realistic and in character. That is generally my number one priority.

Thanks for the awesome review! Updating as soon as possible ^.~
