Yikes! Crazy! But I totally feel you on the dogs. Guinevere is prissy and neat. Eowyn and Javert, however, like to wrestle. Occasionally Eowyn- who is pale pale gold- gets so filthy we wouldn't know what color she is supposed to be. Luckily (and I mean REALLY LUCKILY) she inherited her mama's labrador fur and the mud and gunk wipes right off. Javert, however.... Considering he is leaving a brown spot on the bedspead where he likes to nap, I think it is time for a bath for the boy dog.
I also think you need some books to cheer you up! Do you want to meet for lunch on Tuesday?
She's kind of insane in that when she gets determined to escape, she will become a ball of mud and/or inflict physical harm upon herself to achieve her goal. Wrestling with her brother almost never creates this sort of mess, even on messy days. Sunflower has too much chow in her and a thick undercoat that grabs dirt and hangs on and sheds like crazy twice a year (and we're in one of those times right now). Yay. o_O
Sounds great! Book therapy is always welcome. In fact, I'm sorely tempted when I run back out to the grocery later to pick up the Percy Jackson series. The Kroger by my house has them all on sale for a steal and a half.
It's funny. It didn't seem like that bad of a day until I took stock of what all had transpired. Then, yes, I suddenly wanted nothing more than to collapse on the couch.
Almost a week later, they're pretty hilarious. Especially the fact that Jimi is all "hey look, I'm the good dog!"
He was better by the next day. Unfortunately we had canceled taking him to Huntsville. But he'll get to go this Friday instead. The funk is definitely making the rounds, despite our best efforts to keep it at bay.
