I just found out that the Collegiate Marching Band Festival is on my birthday this year. I'm glad I'm not marching at West Chester this year

As the summer continues, I find myself withdrawing from drum corps more and more...almost to the point that I don't wanna march next year. I had all these plans, spend another year at Bucs to get better, then march Cadets for 2 years and age out. After that maybe start teaching somewhere, maybe Surf or Bucs. So this upcoming weekend will be I think, the hardest test of the season for Bucs. We see the Top 5 from last years DCA Finals and we go on 2nd out the 5. Hmm....

Pennsauken starts tomorrow.

Well we won again. I believe that's 11 in a row for me.

So I come home from Bucs yesterday and start fooling around in Finale. 2.5 hours later, I have a warm-up arranged off of a chorale. Maybe I'll see if DeNofa will use it at Pennsauken, I want to do some conducting this year ( Read more... )

You ever want something so bad, but know that it's gonna be close to impoosible to get? That's me and drum corps for the 08 and 09 seasons. I know what I want, and I have an idea of how to get it, but I dunno if it's gonna work.
